| Designation QA Test EngineerJob Description QA Test Engineer will be responsible for all testing activities throughout the Release Life Cycle.. The QA Test Engineer is an essential link in the product development lifecycle and will work closely with the QA Team Lead, Test Analysts, Release Coordinators, Developers, Product Management and Customer Engineering to assure a high level of quality in product systems through active project participation for test planning, test execution and problem resolution.Participate in technical specification reviews (from requirements through detail design) to ensure resulting specifications are complete and testable and address the requested functional requirements.Estimate and scope work.Follow comprehensive test strategies and plans based on requirements and specifications with consideration of database impacts, risk assessment, functional scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error/bug retests and usability.Create well-defined, reusable test scenarios for new applications and enhancements.Prepare test environments, test data and test automation scripts/ tools.Per test cycle, execute tests, track results, and document failed tests in the Rational ClearQuest defect tracking system and proactively communicate the results of the testing exercise.Report status/progress to Team Lead, release coordinators and project team members as needed.Participate in post-implementation reviews.Assist in the review and design of testing process, procedures, templates, and metrics.Ensure compliance with established testing procedures and methodologiesAbility to trouble shoot system issues by analyzing logs, traces and errors.Ability to create SQL queries for test data manipulationDesired Profile Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:Bachelors/Masters degree of Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications or equivalent Engineering degrees1+ years of experience in EJB, JMS, XML, Web Services, RMI, J2EE with Spring, Web and Application servers1+ years experience database client application knowledge, JDBC, SQL, Oracle, SQL3 years experience in Unix, Linux, SOLARIS, HPUX (PA-RISC, Itanium) or AIXDesirable Experience:Experience in BSS/OSS/ Telecommunication Domain desired.Experience in scripting in Unix or Windows environment a plusExperience 1 - 5 YearsIndustry Type Telcom / ISPRole Testing EngineerFunctional Area IT Software - QA & TestingEducation UG - B.Tech/B.E.PG - M.TechDOCTORATE - Doctorate Not RequiredLocation GurgaonKeywords QA Test Engineer, QA, EJB, JMS, XML, Web Services, RMI, J2EE, JDBC, SQL, Oracle, Unix, Linux, SOLARIS, HPUX, Web, Application servers.Contact HRComverse Network Systems India Pvt Ltd |
